If the cane has to be made from scratch to conform to requested length and stain, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery, dependent on orders in the chute. All of Abel's Canes products are made from kiln-dried, Nova Scotia white ash.  Besides the striking beauty of the wood's grain, if you wish to appreciate the durability and toughness of one of our canes, please consider baseball bats, ax handles and hockey sticks (when they are made of wood). All of the latter products are made of ash.
